Advanced neuromuscular massage techniques specifically address your unique needs as a professional basketball player. By targeting the following key muscles utilized in basketball, my treatments promote enhanced range of motion and alleviate pain:

WHY I AM REACHING OUT?

I specialize in providing customized soft tissue pain relief and mobility solutions for elite athletes.  I would love to become part of your sport performance team offering my expertise to teams looking to enhance their players' performance and well-being,  prevent soft tissue injuries and prepare injured athletes to return to competition. I am flexible and open to all types of working relationships and I look forward to connecting.

MUSCLES MOST USED

  • Running, jumping and pivoting involve muscles throughout the trunk, legs and feet. The quadriceps and hamstring muscles play a crucial role in these activities, as well as the abdominals, calf and gluteus muscles.

  • Passing, throwing and shooting in basketball involves the upper body muscles, such as the rotator cuff muscles, coracobrachialis, latissimus dorsi, biceps brachii, brachioradialis and triceps brachi

  • Common injuries that professional basketball players encounter. Whether it's due to intense training sessions or the demands of competition, these injuries can hamper your performance:

    • Ankle Sprains: Quick changes in direction and jumping can result in ankle sprains, leading to pain and instability. Neuromuscular massage helps in the rehabilitation process, reducing inflammation, and restoring strength and mobility.

    • Knee Injuries: Basketball's dynamic nature puts stress on the knees, often resulting in injuries such as patellar tendinitis, ACL tears, and meniscus damage. Neuromuscular massage aids in injury prevention, promotes proper alignment, and improves muscular balance around the knee joint.

    • Shin Splints: Intense running and jumping can cause shin splints, resulting in sharp pain along the shins. Neuromuscular massage targets the affected muscles, reducing inflammation and helping you get back on your feet quickly.

    • Lower Back Pain: The repetitive nature of basketball can lead to lower back pain. Neuromuscular massage therapy addresses muscular imbalances, releases tension in the lower back, and improves overall posture, enabling you to move freely and pain-free.
